The area
Port Shepstone is the working town of the KwaZulu-Natal south coast — the administrative and commercial centre for the whole Hibiscus Coast, at the mouth of the Mzimkhulu River.
Sea Park sits just south of it: a quieter residential stretch of ridge and coastline, close enough to town for schools and shops but far enough to feel like the coast rather than the traffic. It is where the business started, and where it still holds property.
Our apartment at Casuarina Sands has two bedrooms and an open-plan living space opening onto a covered balcony, in a gated complex with communal gardens.
