The area
uVongo sits between Margate and Shelly Beach on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast, built around the point where the uVongo River drops twenty-three metres into a lagoon and then runs out across the beach.
It is a quieter address than Margate itself while being close enough to walk, which is exactly why it holds its value. The beach is protected, the lagoon is safe for children, and the Hibiscus Coast's restaurants and shopping are minutes away rather than a drive.
Our apartment at Stafford Close is two bedrooms with an open lounge, held since the early years of the business and currently on a long lease.

- Do you have long-term rentals in Margate or uVongo?
- Yes. Our uVongo apartment is on a long lease and we let directly, so tenants deal with the owner rather than a managing agent. Register your interest and we will contact you when it becomes available.
- Is uVongo beach safe for swimming?
- uVongo has a protected beach and a tidal pool, with lifeguards on duty in season, which is why it is popular with families. The lagoon at the foot of the falls is calmer again.
- How far is uVongo from Margate?
- A few minutes by car, and walkable along the coast. Margate Airport is about ten minutes away.
